“ I have seen the value of helping others. I believe that the most rewarding part of my job as a broadcaster is not exposing the wrongdoings of others, but the smile and acknowledgment we get from people whose lives we have touched and changed in some wonderful way.” − REYSTER LANGIT

Sketches

Heavenly Images is a video production company with services ranging from television production to corporate presentations, equipment rentals to television commercials. Heavenly Images offers services in all the stages of video production from pre-production, production and post-production. From its humble beginnings in 1993, this company has grown tremendously with several television programs and an impressive portfolio of corporate and commercial video productions, Heavenly Images is continuously growing and expanding with its various productions that are fit for the global stage.

A Room with a View

In 1993, Heavenly Images President Reyster Langit started doing post-production work for friends and acquaintances in his bedroom. He had then one VHS player, a Canon V8 Camera, and a word processor turned computer graphics generator. He accepted all sorts of videos from student projects, birthday and wedding videos and did it all for free. Later, he accepted his first paycheck from a video that served as a tribute to an outgoing officer of the Citytrust Bank. This first video was followed by four more, this time for religious groups and conferences. Reyster was the director, cameraman, lightman, graphics artist and editor all rolled into one.

Stepping Up

The year 1994 saw the need for new and better equipment. With the US$5,000 that Reyster borrowed from his parents, he was able to purchase an S-VHS editing system, moved his office to his father’s Makati condominium and started doing everything from music videos to audiovisual presentations for corporate clients. In 1995, Reyster got a bank loan and was able to purchase Betacam production and post-production equipment that was considerably more high-end and is of broadcast quality. Thus, the range of services grew to equipment rental, on-line editing, and events live staging.

A Room with a Better View

In 1995, Heavenly Images moved to a new office in the Millennium Plaza in Makati Avenue. For the whole of that year, the growing company attempted several times to enter into the highly competitive broadcasting industry while still doing AVPs for several companies. However, it is in 1996 that Heavenly Images will finally go into mainstream TV production with Rey Langit’s TV program Action 9. Heavenly Images had the opportunity to line-produce a segment for the show for two years.

Star's Vision

Finally in 1998, Heavenly Images was transformed into a corporation called HIP TV INC and started to produce its first TV show entitled KASANGGA MO ANG LANGIT over Vintage IBC 13. Since then, Kasangga became the battlecry of HIP TV INC's operation.
